Rules & Operational Standards
Clear, transparent commercial guidelines governing promotional purchases, Sponsor Scores, dynamic rankings, and platform conduct.
1. What Topple Is
Topple is a high-energy digital discovery and sponsored-ranking platform designed for founders, creators, software builders, and businesses. Topple is not an auction house, betting platform, wagering system, or gambling service. There are no prize pools, financial payouts, or cash winnings. Topple provides transparent commercial advertising and promotional services for online products, apps, SaaS tools, and digital services.
2. What Customers Are Purchasing
When purchasing a promotion on Topple, customers are purchasing clearly defined commercial advertising deliverables, which include:
- Guaranteed indexing and active public directory listing on Topple.
- Promotional placement on the real-time sponsored leaderboard.
- Direct high-speed outbound click tracking and attribution routing (
/go/:id). - Category-level discovery across curated industry sectors.
- Award of non-monetary Sponsor Points (1 Point per ₹1 promotional spend) applied directly to the product's Sponsor Score.
- Inclusion in promotional RSS and public platform transparency metrics.
3. How Promotions Are Delivered
Promotional services begin immediately upon confirmed payment settlement via our authorized payment gateway (Razorpay). The listing is updated in real time, Sponsor Points are credited immediately to the target product, and public leaderboard positioning is updated dynamically. Because promotional digital deliverables are rendered immediately upon payment, delivery is instant.
4. How Sponsor Scores Are Calculated
Each promotional purchase adds internal Sponsor Points to a product. Points are awarded at a standard rate of 1 Sponsor Point per ₹1 spent (e.g., ₹500 purchase = 500 Sponsor Points). Points are cumulative over the life of the listing, representing the product's total promotional weight. Sponsor Points are non-monetary, non-transferable, have zero cash value, and cannot be redeemed, withdrawn, or exchanged.
5. Difference Between Sponsored Rank & Trending Rank
Topple operates multiple distinct leaderboard views:
- Sponsored Leaderboard (All-Time & Today): Ranked primarily by the product's cumulative or daily verified Sponsor Score. High sponsor scores secure prominent leaderboard placement.
- Trending Board (Organic Engagement): Ranked by our transparent algorithmic engagement score combining recent unique outbound clicks, profile views, and listing freshness—independent of promotional spend.
6. Dynamic & Fleeting Rank Disclaimer
Notice: Leaderboard positions are dynamic and non-guaranteed. Purchasing promotional services increases a product's Sponsor Score, but does not guarantee retention of any specific numerical rank (#1, #2, etc.) for any specific duration. If another product receives promotional services that raise its Sponsor Score higher, it will naturally take a higher sponsored rank. No customer acquires ownership of a ranking slot.
7. Product Ownership & Verification
Anyone may sponsor any public product on Topple to help it gain visibility. However, official product owners can verify and claim their listings using a passwordless one-time verification code (OTP) sent to the domain or checkout email. Verified owners can edit metadata (name, tagline, description, logo, URL, and Twitter handle) and access detailed outbound traffic analytics via the Product Owner Portal.
8. Review & Moderation Standards
All promoted listings must represent genuine, accessible digital products, SaaS applications, open-source repositories, developer tools, or websites. Topple strictly prohibits malware, spyware, phishing, fraud, pyramid schemes, hate speech, defamatory material, or illegal content. Listings that violate these standards will be suspended or permanently removed by administrators.
9. Refund, Reversal & Point Adjustment Policy
Because promotional services and visibility deliverables are executed instantly, purchases are generally final. However, in the event of an approved refund, payment dispute, chargeback, or administrative sanction for fraudulent activity, all Sponsor Points awarded from that transaction are immediately and automatically deducted from the product's Sponsor Score, and its leaderboard rank is recomputed downward accordingly.
10. Prohibited Activities
Users and sponsors agree never to engage in:
- Automated click-fraud, bot scripts, or fake traffic generation on tracking links.
- Fraudulent payment methods, unauthorized credit cards, or chargeback abuse.
- Impersonating another brand, company, or founder with intent to mislead.
- Submitting spam listings or promoting services in violation of local laws.
